A Living Orchard, Not Just a Product

Macha's Orchard is a social enterprise based in Portadown, County Armagh, stewarding heritage Bramley apple trees across 3 acres of the region's characteristic heavy clay-loam soil. Our orchard includes heritage Bramley varieties, some over 40 years old, that flourish in this unique terroir. We're not just selling apples—we're preserving a living place. As heritage food producers, we maintain traditional orcharding practices that connect modern food systems to centuries of agricultural wisdom.

Our heritage Armagh Bramley apples hold Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, recognizing County Armagh as the only place in the world where these unique apples grow with their distinctive character.

When you purchase from us, you're supporting the ongoing work of maintaining heritage trees, preserving 3 acres of productive orchard land, and providing community education about traditional fruit growing through our community enterprise model. Serving County Armagh and across Northern Ireland. Learn about our Portadown location or explore our Northern Ireland presence →
