Our Mission
A Social Enterprise for the Community
What is a Social Enterprise?
A social enterprise is a business with a social mission at its core. Unlike conventional companies where profits go to shareholders, social enterprises reinvest their earnings directly into their mission and the communities they serve.
Macha's Orchard was set up with exactly that purpose. Every purchase you make helps fund community services in Portadown — particularly for older people and those in need. The money stays here, in this community.

Macha's Orchard is registered as a Community Benefit Society in Northern Ireland, operating with full regulatory oversight.

How Your Purchase Helps
Every product sold by Macha's Orchard generates profit that is reinvested directly into community services — especially for older people and those in need in the Portadown area.
This isn't a marketing claim. It's the legal structure we operate under as a Community Benefit Society. We don't pay shareholder dividends. Your money stays in Portadown.
